Few things compare to the sense of pride in your ride like adding window film to your vehicle. The whole ambience of the car changes, once you step inside you feel the seats aren't so hot...you look around and notice your not blinded by the sun and your interior isn't getting eaten up by its damaging UV rays. You then glance out the window and notice more people checking out your ride because of its new sleek and classy look. This comfort and style can only be done by hand and by a well experienced professional film installer like the ones at San Luis Customs.
The film needs to cure and be cared for even after you take the car home from the shop. Most important is to know the film was applied with a slip-solution of soap and water. Residual solution gets left behind after application and simply needs to be left alone to dry, during this time your film may appear hazed or streaked...this is completely normal and will disappear anywhere from a couple days to a month. You'll need to leave your windows up during this cure period, 3M recommends 72 hours. DO NOT try to clean or touch your film...leave it alone. Once dry your windows can be cleaned with anything from traditional window cleaner to a little soap and water, a clean microfiber cloth is recommended but paper towels can be used. When spraying chemicals near the glass be sure to wipe off and clean the film.
